Case Study: Wymondham Library

For more than 60 years the library in Wymondham was based at the grade 1 listed Becket’s Chapel. However, as part of a major modernisation programme by Norfolk Library Services, in 2009 the library moved to a brand new state of the art building directly adjacent to the town’s football club. The award winning building offers a large and spacious area in which to house an extensive selection of books, as well as providing offices and facilities for staff.

As part of the work to construct the new library, we were awarded the contract to supply and install the flooring. The decision to award us the contract was not only based on the high quality of our floor coverings, but also our ability to work with other trades and deliver a quality installation in a short period of time.

A High Quality Installation

For this project we were asked to fit four different floor coverings. These included:

• 420m2 of Heuga 550 Olympic Carpet Tiles
  Available in an extensive range of colours, Huega Olympic carpet tiles are an excellent solution if you are looking for a hard-wearing floor covering.
• 60m2 of Gerflor Tarasafe Iona Safety Flooring With Self-Covered Skirting
  The ‘Iona’ safety flooring from Tarasafe is a great way of achieving a decorative finish to any room. Inlaid with a choice of colourful quartz crystals and vinyl chips, this covering helps to create a bright and modern look.
• 11m2 of Forbo Coral Classic Entrance Matting
  Forbo’s excellent Coral entrance matting is available in a choice of practical and attractive colours, and offers excellent moisture absorption. In just 2 steps it is able to absorb up to half of the moisture commonly carried on the soles of a visitors shoes.
• 7m2 of Gradus Rubber Access Entrance Matting
  Suitable for medium levels of footfall and wheeled traffic, Gradus’ range of entrance matting makes the ideal floor covering for a range of applications including schools and offices. Choose from a selection of 16 colours to complement the décor of your room.
