Floor Your Guests

If you’re having a haunted house this Halloween, don’t forget the floors! Walking on an unusual surface or pattern can really affect our perception of our surroundings, so decorating your flooring is a great way to scare your guests! Optical illusion floors are popular with street artists, but how about getting a sticker decal for your floor? Imagine this scary shark optical illusion in a bathroom! 

Don’t forget the stairs! 

We love the simple silhouettes on the stairs with mice running between cartoon like mouse holes – but this crafty DIY could easily be adapted to suit your theme. Cut out shapes from black card and stick with double sided tape for an effective addition to your décor that won’t damage your stairs. 

Tape and Chalk

Another simple DIY that won’t leave a lasting impression – tape! Use duct tape around the house to sketch out cobwebs and spiders, or in lowly lit areas use tape around the edges of rooms to change the shape of the space. For a more chilling approach, use chalk or white tape to draw the outline of a body and turn a room into a crime scene.
