About Brintons

Based in Kidderminster, the carpet capital of Great Britain, Brintons have been manufacturing carpet since 1783 and they still make carpets in Britain to this day. In the 1950s, Brintons pioneered a carpet that blended 80% wool with 20% nylon. This ratio became known as the ‘Brintons Blend’ and delivers durability without compromising on softness. Brintons are the number one purchasers of British wool. The fleece from an astonishing one in every nine British sheep will go on to become a part of a Brintons carpet!

The wool and nylon blend is then dyed to strict specifications and woven on looms to produce the finished product. There are hundreds of carpets to choose from so Brintons recommend that you start by narrowing your options. Plain carpet or patterned? Tribal pattern or contemporary tartan?
